Day 1

Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and acclimatizing to the new environment.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, The park is known for its large elephant population, with over 3,000 elephants living within the park’s boundaries. Other wildlife that can be found in the park includes lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and various species of antelope. The park is also home to over 550 species of birds.

Enjoy a full-day game drive in the park and return to your lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Lake Manyara National Park

Today you will enjoy the excellent view over Lake Manyara and see elephants up close in the woodlands. You will visit the renowned Manyara hippo pool where many hippos stay in the water from early morning until late in the evening. Overnight will be at Eileen Tree Lodge on a full-board basis.

Lake Manyara National Park covers an area of only 330 sq km (127 sq miles), of which up to 200 sq km (77 sq miles) is made up of the lake when water levels are high. Lake Manyara is an excellent place for bird watching and a good area to find elephants, giraffes, zebras, baboons, warthogs, buffalos, and maybe even the legendary tree-climbing lions! At some point during your game drive, you will get out of your vehicle at the hippo pool to stretch your legs and observe the hippos.

Day 4

Serengeti National Park

Enjoy breakfast and then depart early in the morning with your lunch. Head off on a spectacular afternoon game viewing in Serengeti National Park where you will spend 2 nights exploring the Serengeti plains.

Serengeti is a park located in Northern Tanzania and is a World Heritage Site. It occupies an area of around 15,000 sq km with over 2 million herbivores, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and some 500 bird species. This area is filled with massive herds of migratory wildebeest and zebra during the dry season. However, the Northern Serengeti also supports an abundance of resident wildlife including lion, elephant, hippo, giraffe, crocodile, and the rare oribi antelope.

Day 5

Serengeti Full Day

Enjoy breakfast and then depart early in the morning with your lunch. A full-day game drive in Serengeti typically starts early in the morning, around 6 am, when the animals are most active.

Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of wildlife. In addition to the Big Five, other animals commonly spotted on game drives include cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species.

Day 6

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will enjoy game viewing and also visit the famous Ngorongoro Crater. If you are lucky, this is the best place to see the black rhino. Later in the evening, you will drive to your reserved accommodation in Karatu town for dinner and overnight.

The crater is the world’s largest caldera which was formed after an explosion that occurred approximately 2 to 3 million years ago. The crater floor is 1,800m (5,900ft) above sea level and the area has around 30,000 animals as well as a great variety of birds.

Day 7

Karatu to Zanziba (Stone Town

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up and then transfer you to Arusha Airport where you will fly to Zanzibar. On your arrival at Zanzibar Airport, our driver will transfer you to your hotel.

Zanzibar is the main island in the Tanzanian archipelago of Zanzibar consisting of Unguja and Pemba Islands and many smaller islands. You will also find Stone town, a historic trade center with Swahili and Islamic influences.

Day 8-9

Karatu to Zanzibar

When you arrive on Zanzibar Island, you know straightaway that this is a place like no other. This was an island made wealthy by its role in the spice trade, and the superb architecture and spice-filled markets are reminders of that time. Fine beaches and scenery are also found across the island.
