Where to go on Safari in Tanzania

Tanzania, renowned for its vast wilderness and diverse wildlife, is a premier safari destination in Africa. Among its many attractions, four standout locations offer unique and unforgettable experiences: Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara. Each destination boasts its distinct charm, making Tanzania a must-visit for safari enthusiasts.

When is the best time to go on safari in Tanzania?

This is a common question among travelers, but the truth is that there is no single best time to visit Tanzania for a safari. Any time of the year can offer fantastic opportunities for animal sightings and game watching. The only factor that varies is the location of the Great Migration in the Serengeti, which can be in different parts of the park at different times of the year.

If you visit from the end of December to April, we will take you to Southern Serengeti (Ndutu). From May to early July, we will guide you to Western Serengeti, and from July to October, we will lead you to Northern Serengeti for the Mara River crossing.

There is no one time of the year that is better than another for going on a safari. The best time for a safari is whenever you are able to make the trip.

By visiting Tanzania at different times of the year, you can witness unique wildlife behaviors and experiences based on the seasonal movements of the animals. Regardless of when you choose to go, Tanzania’s national parks and reserves offer incredible opportunities to observe the beauty and diversity of African wildlife in their natural habitats
